Meet Carrie
Carrie Libling is a performing arts consultant with over 25 years' experience as a presenter, performer and touring artist across both the public and private theatre sectors. She has extensive expertise in marketing, communications, audience development, arts education, and artistic direction. Her connection to theatre began early, sparking a lifelong commitment to the performing arts and arts education. Her work bridges both the artist and presenter perspectives. She most recently served as the Coordinator of Performing Arts Marketing for the The Rose Theatre in Brampton, where she led marketing strategy, communications, media relations, and audience development for a broad range of performing arts programming. She also expanded The Rose's media recognition, gaining interviews for artists on television, radio, print and digital.
Previously, Carrie founded and led Electric Moon Theatre Company, a for-profit theatre company that produced and toured family theatre productions and provided arts education programs to schools and camps. Her touring shows included Junie B. Jones The Musical, Big Nate The Musical, and Geronimo Stilton Mouse in Space. Although COVID put an unexpected halt to her operations, running her own company gave her hands-on experience across all areas of operations. These include artistic direction and producing, budgeting, staff management, program creation and implementation, touring logistics and audience engagement. Electric Moon provided her a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to lead a performing arts organization and small business.
Earlier in her career, Carrie worked as a professional actor and voice-over artist in New York City. She also led the family theatre division of Vital Theatre Company, creating, directing, and producing original work for young audiences. After relocating to Toronto, she produced the first Canadian production of Pinkalicious, The Musical in partnership with Vital Theatre Company. She then served for five years as Education Coordinator at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, where she programmed and ran the Education Series; developed in-school guest artist programs with study guides for in-class workshops, and developed and led theatre summer camps and after-school workshops.
Carrie holds a BFA in Theatre from Emerson College and a Digital Marketing Certificate from York University, combining artistic training with data-informed marketing and communications expertise. In 2025, she was honoured with four MarCom Awards, including two Platinum Awards for the Brampton On Stage Season Launch Advertising Campaign and Social Media Campaign, and two Gold Awards for The Rose Theatre’s Summer–Fall 2025 Season Brochure.
Carrie works alongside a trusted network of collaborators with expertise in design, branding, social media, photography, videography and more, ensuring each project is supported by the right mix of creative and practical skills, from planning through implementation and execution.
Carrie is a mom of three children (to whom she has also imparted her lifelong love of theatre!) and a dog named Scout. She is a huge fan of Broadway musicals, TV, movies, travel, and fitness. She can’t wait to work with you!
